1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using PawsMetric (https://pawsmetric.com), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue use of our website immediately.
Educational & Informational Reference Only
All tools, calculators, dosage algorithms, toxicological risk models, and articles published on PawsMetric are provided strictly for educational reference and informational purposes. They do NOT constitute formal veterinary diagnosis, medical treatment, prescription, or clinical advice.
- PawsMetric tools do not replace hands-on evaluation by a licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
- In emergency toxicity situations (e.g., chocolate, xylitol, or rat poison ingestion), contact an emergency veterinary clinic or call ASPCA Animal Poison Control (888-426-4435) immediately.
- Never delay seeking professional veterinary care based on mathematical outputs generated by our software.
3. Calculator Accuracy & User Input Responsibilities
PawsMetric algorithms apply peer-reviewed clinical mathematical models (such as the 2020 UCSD Epigenetic Clock equation and NRC caloric energy equations). However, mathematical outputs depend entirely on the accuracy of user-entered inputs (e.g., exact body weight, age, and food caloric density).
Individual canine metabolic rates vary based on spay/neuter status, thyroid health, muscle mass, and daily activity. PawsMetric cannot guarantee that calculated caloric portions or dosage estimates fit every individual animal's exact physiological needs.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
All text content, custom mathematical algorithms, interactive widget code, graphics, branding logos, and UI designs hosted on PawsMetric are the intellectual property of PawsMetric. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use our tools for non-commercial personal pet care. Scraping, copying, or reverse-engineering our code for commercial duplication is strictly prohibited.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PawsMetric, its officers, DVM medical board members, employees, and software engineers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on any calculator, dosage chart, or guide published on this site.
6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Any legal disputes arising out of these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
